About The Chapter B Family

We would like to fill you in on some of the basics of the chapter and what we do as a chapter.

Chapter B is known as the "QUEEN CITY WINGS" and we are in Region E.  Our chapter color is purple.  We meet every third Saturday of the Month.  We meet at 5:00 pm to eat and our meetings begin at 6:00 pm.  Then usually if the weather permits we ride for a short trip to find ice cream.

The chapter does not charge any fees to join.  In order for the chapter to have any monies for their expenses, we may do a bike show, a poker run or any type of event that we can come together with.  With these events we could have a small meal, such as hot dogs, hamburgers or chili.  Then the chapter will charge a small registration fee, which would include the meal and sometimes the door prize.  It really just depends on how your chapter wants to do it.  The money that is collected can go back into the chapter or to one of many charities.  At these events there are usually games to play.  There you may have to buy a ticket to play or just receive a ticket for playing.  These tickets will go for a drawing of money.  All of the money collected at the event can either go back into the chapter or to a charity.  Some of the charities are Shriner's Hospital for Kids, Cancer Society, or the Foundation for Kids.

Another way for the chapter to bring in money is that at the meetings, we have a 50/50 drawing where we sell tickets at 1 for $1.00 or 6 for $5.00 or 12 for $10.00, etc...the money that is collected for the tickets is divided in half.  One half goes back into the chapter and the second half is divided into different pots for drawing.

Some of the other chapters will have an event going on.  You can go to any of them you want to.  It is a great time and you will meet different people.  Usually if an event is coming up, you might try to go to in a group and them meet a a different location and go from there.  Now a ride can pop up at any time.  Someone may call to see if you want to go.  Even if you yourself think of a place to go, just call or mention it at a meeting.  But just remember one thing, we want to have a good time and to be safe.

We're friendly people who enjoy motorcycling and socializing with other motorcycle enthusiasts through the freedom of belonging to a non-profit, non-political, non-religious organization, the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.

GWRRA is the world's largest single-marquee social organization for owners and riders of Gold Wing and Valkyrie motorcycles with 75,000+ members worldwide. Membership in GWRRA is not limited to Gold Wing owners, however...anyone may join and participate in all of our activities, regardless of the brand he or she rides.

Once you join GWRRA, you can participate with as many Chapters as you choose. You decide your own level of involvement and time. Wherever you go, wherever you travel, you're welcomed. GWRRA membership opens doors to friendship everywhere you ride!  There are no expectations, riding requirements, elections, politics, required uniforms or Chapter dues.

Our goal is simple...to ride with our friends and have fun, safely.

If you're a motorcyclist who wants to meet and make new friends, we invite you to join us.  It doesn't matter WHAT you ride, as long as you ride.  We'd love to meet you and have you join our group.

 Murphy's Motorcycle Law

1. A motorcycle cannot fall over without a crowd.
2. The odds of a motorcycle falling over are directly proportional to the size of the audience and the owners ego. (The newness and expense of the bike may also factor into this.)
3. Motorcycles are to yellow bugs as aircraft carriers once were to kamikaze pilots.
4. You will not feel a need to use the restroom until after you have put on your rainsuit.
5. The fact that your keys are in your pants pocket will only become apparent after you have put on your gloves.
6. Quick fixes are so named for how long they stay fixed.
7. The only part you really need will also be the only one on permanent backorder.
8. Nothing is harder to start than a used motorcycle being shown to a prospective buyer.
9. You will never have a flat tire on the road unless you leave the flat repair kit at home.
10. Universal Kit accessories are so named because they fit no bike in the universe.
